Early dismissals, cancellations or late starts
Local radio stations announce school closings as well as list them on their respective websites. Television stations KIMT, KTTC and KAAL list school closing on their respective websites. School closure information can also be accessed on the district website’s home page at www.masoncityschools.org and on the Mason City Community School District Facebook and Twitter pages.
The School District currently offers alerts through a school notification system to help the district keep in communication regarding school closure. Parents can sign up through Infinite Campus to receive automatic phone, email or text message notifications. Visit the district website at www.masoncityschools.org for information on how to sign up for this notification system or contact your student’s building office staff.
